A contemporary extension to the rear of a solid 1930s house in suburban Prahran, the Hardie House is an exercise in geometry and materiality.
The angled forms of the galvanized steel cladding deliberately contrasts with the existing house and its suburban setting, offering something new, while the large internal living space, with its overgrown light court, is in contrast to the gentile front part of the house.
