The Agit-Prop competition entry for the new Melbourne Museum to the north of the Exhibition Buildings in Carlton aimed to provide a campus approach to Museum planning with a central plaza based on the football oval that existed on the site in the 1930s.
With a circulation system based on curving ramps which connected the various exhibitions and displays together the focal point of the design is a giant tesseract or hypercube, symbolizing higher learning and the unknown.
The design was featured on the 7:30 Report
